Project Overview

Role: Construction Management and Inspection Services

M&J Engineering D.P.C. (M&J) is providing construction management and inspection services for MTA Construction and Development project RKM-405. Bridge preservation work includes cleaning and power washing specified bridge elements, roadway barriers, sidewalk barriers, and medians on the suspended span, Queens approach, Bronx crossing, Harlem River Lift Span, and anchorages; cleaning all drainage scuppers and downspouts; resealing bridge joints; incidental painting work; repairing bridge headers; cleaning and repainting repaired areas for corrosion protection; repairing the modular joint at the East River suspended span; and miscellaneous work including any necessary repairs and modifications to site security, lighting, site work including temporary fencing, landscaping, approach roadways, concrete deck slabs, roadway potholes, electrical systems, steel and concrete supporting structures, stormwater drainage and utilities, removing spalling concrete, replacing damaged scuppers, replacing damaged railings, and replacing damaged or missing light pole cover plates.

M&J is providing construction management services in the pre-construction, construction, and closeout phase for this project.
