Project Overview

Role: Civil Engineering and Construction Inspection Services

M&J Engineering, Inc. (M&J) as part of a multidisciplinary team, is providing on-call program management and civil engineering services for the Connecticut Airport Authority (CAA). These services support various CAA properties, including Groton-New London, Hartford Brainard, and Danielson Airports. The scope covers design, construction inspection, and administration to enhance CAA’s infrastructure, including ramps, airfield electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, drainage, parking facilities, and security systems. M&J also handles design development, permitting, final drawings, bidding documents, cost estimates, coordination with agencies, and construction phase support, including resident inspection and project administration.

The first task under this contract is the design of a ConRAD Ride Share Lot adjacent to Bradley International Airport’s parking garage, which involves designing a drainage system to connect with the existing network, site design for parking, pavement, curbing, ADA compliance, and a comprehensive lighting analysis and design.
