Project Overview

Role: Prime Consultant

M&J Engineering D.P.C. (M&J) is providing construction management services to NYCDPR for the construction of a new comfort station for Monsignor Kett Playground. This includes a comfort station to serve as public restrooms to meet ADA standards and a mechanical room for operations and maintenance. The project includes new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

M&J’s services include resident engineering, which entails representing the NYCDPR at the project site. Responsibilities include but are not limited to daily construction inspection, construction quality assurance, communication and correspondence with the NYCDPR, the contractor & third parties to the project, quantity tracking, developing and maintaining the project calculation book, payment requisition review and approval, RFI review/tracking, submittal tracking, change order and overrun review/negotiation, holding progress meetings as well as holding coordination meetings. Furthermore, services include project closeout, which typically involves substantial completion inspection(s), punch list development, punch list work, permit / DOB inspections as well as finalization and submission of the project calculation book.
