Project Overview

Role: Prime Consultant

M&J Engineering, D.P.C. (M&J) is providing on-call comprehensive construction management services to support various construction activities located throughout Hudson River Park.

This reconstruction work involved removing and recycling existing artificial turf and infill, fine grading of underlying base material and installation of new 2-1/2” pile artificial turf material, infill material, with repair of existing turf nailers where required surrounding the perimeter.

Work also included ancillary upgrades to pier features, including a new drinking fountain, masonry block coping stone reconstruction, joint sealing, as well as installation of new guards in the form of IPE benches, surrounding all trees onsite.

M&J’s services included constructability reviews, construction inspection, daily reports, quality control compliance, contractor payment requisition reviews, construction administration, office engineering, resident engineering, as well as owner representation in the form of interacting and coordinating with the public, designer/architect, contractors, and other third parties to the project.
