M&J Engineering D.P.C. (M&J) is providing supervision of construction services for this contract that involves roadway stabilization and reprofiling improvements of the North to South Inner and Outer Roadways, South to North Inner and Outer Roadways from Milepost 97.0 to 98.0, and South to North Outer Roadways from Milepost 102.0 and 104.5. The roadway stabilization and reprofiling improvements involve milling and overlaying, and polyurethane grouting the subsurface around all existing storm drainage pipes and some roadway sections to fill voids and stabilize the area around the pipes and under the roadway. It also involves lining of the existing storm drainage pipes, replacement of existing corrugated metal pipe, and replacing and reconstructing existing storm drain inlets within the project limits. Further project elements include concrete median barrier and guiderail upgrades at various bridge piers, parapets, and overhead sign structure locations within the project limits and traffic control on Authority Roadways. The contract is located within the Cities of Linden and Elizabeth, Union County, and the City of Newark, Essex County, New Jersey.
