Project Overview

Role: Construction Engineering and Inspection Services

M&J Engineering (M&J) is providing construction inspection services for Project No. 0056-0316. The purpose of the project is to rehabilitate the pavement, address roadside safety and perform bridge rehabilitation to extend the service life of the infrastructure. The secondary purpose of this project is to provide operational and safety benefits and alleviate congestion in the southbound direction at Exit 3. This project begins at the New York/Connecticut state border on I-95 and extends approximately 6.63 miles to Exit 6. This project proposes to rehabilitate the bituminous pavement and the underlying concrete pavement. This project also includes minor bridge rehabilitation, storm drainage improvements and upgrades to guiderail and concrete barrier. The deceleration lane at Exit 3 in the southbound direction will be widened and extended to provide operational improvements.
